Strategic Partnership Manager - Travel (APAC)

We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Partnership Manager to join our Travel team in the APAC region. In this role, you will lead the development and management of key travel partnerships, negotiate beneficial agreements, and identify opportunities to drive revenue growth. You will oversee partner activities, including training, events, incentives, marketing/campaigns and activities/events while ensuring alignment with the APAC travel strategy. Your ability to manage multiple projects, foster relationships, and implement innovative ideas will be key to your success in this fast-paced and rewarding position.

Main Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of travel propositions, assuming responsibility for selected travel products.
  • Negotiate new contracts and agreements, driving growth and addressing gaps in travel offerings.
  • Maintain and optimize existing travel agreements, ensuring they remain competitive and valuable.
  • Boost travel commission revenues by identifying opportunities and implementing effective strategies.
  • Research travel trends and represent the company at industry events, such as travel fairs.
  • Ensure seamless internal processes for travel partners, Lifestyle Managers, and members.
  • Collaborate with global teams on projects, reporting, and program initiatives.
  • Enhance and expand travel partnerships, building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Lead newsletter and platform strategies, ensuring engaging and informative content delivery.
  • Coordinate travel partner activities, including training sessions, networking events, incentives, and showcases.

Skills and Core Competencies

Required

  • Extensive experience: At least 5 years in the luxury travel sector, with a strong passion for travel and lifestyle.
  • Strategic expertise: Solid background in travel strategy and industry operations, providing a strong foundation for success.
  • Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of the airline business and the broader travel industry.
  • Negotiation skills: Proven ability to secure beneficial agreements with partners and stakeholders.
  • Analytical decision-maker: Leverages performance data and leadership skills to drive results and achieve objectives.
  • Relationship management: Builds trust and loyalty with senior stakeholders, delivers on requirements, handles escalations, and presents new business initiatives.
  • Proficiency with tools: Familiarity with Amadeus and other travel tools (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Innovative thinker: Develops and implements new ideas and strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Project management: Manages multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Team player: Thrives in a fast-paced team environment, prioritizing workloads, partner meetings, and travel-related tasks.
  • Communication and documentation: Maintains internal documentation, cascading updates and ensuring timely communication across teams.
  • Platform management: Oversees platforms by uploading, organizing, and maintaining content effectively.
  • Newsletter management: Manages newsletters, from securing buy-in and briefing internally to uploading on platforms and sharing information with partners and teams.
  • Partnership activities: Organizes networking events, training sessions, showcases, raffles, incentives, and familiarization (fam) trips.
  • New business initiatives: Initiates and leads new proposals, ensuring alignment with the APAC travel strategy.
  • Industry connections: Maintains strong relationships with key hotels, airlines, and ground handling suppliers across the region.

Guidelines for Hybrid/Home Office option for Hong Kong applicants:

  • Please note that if you live within a commutable distance of the office, you will be asked to enter into a hybrid working arrangement, with up to 60% Home Office possibility.
  • A secure home office at your confirmed address, free from background noise or other distractions
  • Internet service must meet minimum requirements and minimum speed check must be complete
