Pay Range: $65,563 - $85,232 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Sr. Human Resources Analyst – Workers Compensation job is available with the City of Fort Worth - Human Resources/Workers’ Compensation Division. The Risk Management Division within the Human Resources Department is responsible for managing the insurance programs acquired by the City of Fort Worth to minimize risks. This position provides support to the department with the primary responsibility of Data Analytics.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should be self-motivated and well-adapted to work under pressure while maintaining deadlines with speed, accuracy and a professional and compassionate attitude. They will need to be prepared to act in the moment as workers’ compensation claims can arise at any time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in human resources management, industrial relations, public administration, business administration or a related field and;
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional human resources experience, claims services, and/or risk management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong professional experience in Workers’ Compensation and Human Resources practices and procedures
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The Sr. Human Resource Analyst – Workers Compensation job responsibilities include:

  •  Assist in day-to-day processing of the Workers’ Compensation program, including claims processing and research, medical case management, and oversight of the return-to-work program.
  • Analyze, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to workers’ compensation.
  • Develops and implements training and communications for employees, supervisors, and medical records coordinator’s regarding the workers’ compensation program.
  • Write clear, comprehensive, and accurate reports and correspondences.
  • Evaluate, validate, and analyze reconciliation documents.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and effectively communicate the findings.
  • Collaborates with the Leave Coordinator, to effectively coordinate FMLA, ADA, and return-to-work processes for occupational injury cases.
