Reporting to the Senior Field Services Engineer, this role can be based in NY, MA, or CT. You will play a pivotal role in the global launch of our revolutionary flow cytometry platform, VisionSort. We are looking for an individual with a robust background in life sciences, hands-on experience in flow cytometry, and superb problem-solving abilities to offer remote and on-site technical support to ThinkCyte’s customers and deliver exceptional customer service. You will collaborate with ThinkCyte’s global Product and Sales teams to elevate product performance, enhance customer experience, and contribute innovative ideas for the development of next-generation products. Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Maintain: Responsible for expert installation, facilitation of system upgrades and maintenance of VisionSortTM and other GC-based instruments at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot and Analysis:  Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues, providing timely workarounds and solutions to restore instrument functionality swiftly.
  • Develop Procedures and Tools: Identify procedures and create tools to enhance the efficiency of troubleshooting and repairing customers’ instruments.
  • Training: Deliver comprehensive training to in-house lab researchers and customers on product acquaintance and proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GC-based instruments.
  • Documentation/Record-Keeping: Prepare comprehensive service documentation including service manuals, technical bulletins, troubleshooting guides, upgrade instructions, and parts lists. Accurately maintain records of service calls, instrument installations and customer interactions.
  • Professional Development: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in flow cytometry technology and the life sciences industry, participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electronic, Optic, or Mechanical) or other related fields. A post-graduate degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical support or field service role in the life sciences industry.
  • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry instruments, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of life science applications, including cell biology, immunology, and molecular biology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent record keeping and great attention to details.
  • Managerial experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in reading and speaking the English language. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The role is remote, but extensive travel (up to 50% of the time), including occasional international travel, will be required.


$110,000 - $130,000 a year
In addition to base salary -
Eligible to participate in Company’s bonus program.
15 days PTO
