Supervisor, Media Investment

Tombras, an independent, 400+ person, national full-service advertising agency is searching for a Supervisor, Media Investment to join our team.


Where you’ll be working: Knoxville. Relocation assistance may be provided.


The Supervisor - Digital Investments will be responsible for supervising and supporting the digital investments team in planning, executing, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing, media planning, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive maximum return on investment (ROI) for our clients' campaigns.


What you will be doing:
  • Team Management:  Supervise and guide a team of digital investments specialists, providing direction, support, and mentorship. Set team goals, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Strategic Development: Assist in developing comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with client objectives, target audience, and market trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategies integrate seamlessly with overall marketing initiatives.
  • Campaign Execution and Optimization: Oversee the end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns across multiple the Direct and Programmatic space. Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and identify optimization opportunities to improve ROI and campaign effectiveness.
  • Budget Management: Ensure effective allocation of media budgets across campaigns, platforms, and tactics. Monitor budget utilization and provide strategic recommendations for optimization and maximizing ROI.
  • Client Collaboration:  Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, provide insights, and develop tailored digital marketing strategies. Communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports and performance dashboards to track campaign progress, identify trends, and communicate results to internal teams and clients. Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations for ongoing campaign optimization.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and quality control of campaign deliverables, including media plans, performance reports, and client presentations. Review team work for adherence to best practices and client requirements.
  • Industry Insights: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital media planning and buying. Apply industry insights to drive innovation, enhance campaign effectiveness, and deliver exceptional results for clients.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, including creative, account management, and data analytics. Collaborate to deliver integrated and cohesive campaigns that meet client objectives.


What you bring:
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in digital media planning, buying, or advertising, with a focus on Direct and Programmatic digital investments. Significant experience in a leadership or managerial role is essential.
  • Digital Advertising Expertise: In-depth knowledge of digital advertising platforms, including programmatic advertising and other relevant tools. Familiarity with data management platforms (DMPs) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus.
  • Leadership Abilities: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive digital media strategies aligned with business goals, target audience behavior, and market dynamics. Demonstrated expertise in campaign optimization and driving ROI.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations for campaign optimization.
  • Results-oriented: A track record of delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality control of campaign deliverables.
