What to Expect

Today, we're a remote-first team with a main office hub in LA, where the team goes in 2-3 days per week. The rest of our team is distributed across the U.S., with a growing presence in NYC. We strive to compensate and offer benefits that are above market for the given role and stage of the company. Pay may be a combination of salary, commission, and/or equity depending on role and seniority. Full time employees are eligible for health benefits and 401k enrollment.

You should expect a self-regulated PTO policy and a culture that promotes using at least three continuous weeks every year. (Yes, 12 days of camping with no cell service is encouraged—fresh air is good for us). We sign off at 2:30 p.m. on Fridays, observe long weekends, and respect that some days, you wake up and your head just ain’t in it.

Who you are

You are a senior QA engineer who can test newly developed features to verify they work as expected and do not break the existing system. You have worked directly with product managers, engineers, and designers to determine what success looks like for new projects. You are a user experience evangelist and enjoy working closely with the design team to provide feedback when parts of the system are hard to use.

You have experience with PyTest, Jest, Selenium, or similar testing frameworks and have used them to create tests ranging from the small unit tests to the large integration tests.

You take pride in making sure all aspects of the program are thoroughly tested. Whether it’s happy paths for new features, regression tests, performance/scalability, or front-end accessibility tests, you consider and test all of these aspects to make sure the system is healthy and usable under a wide range of scenarios.

You have experience integrating automated testing tools into Github and AWS CI/CD pipelines and adding tests to those tools. You take pride in shortening the time between engineers completing development on a feature and public release.

Ideal candidates will have experience developing infrastructure that improves feature development speed. These candidates have developed internal tools like a cli or a shared library that developers use to generate infrastructure, and champion these tools to make sure developers spend more time writing code and less time standing up the infrastructure.
