TTEC Digital is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Director to spearhead growth within the Federal Civilian and Defense sectors. This pivotal role will focus on strategically targeting key agencies such as the Department of Commerce, Department of Treasury, the Navy, and other critical defense and civilian organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the federal government landscape, intricate procurement processes, and evolving technology needs. As a Business Development Director, you will be instrumental in identifying, rigorously qualifying, and successfully closing new business opportunities. Furthermore, you will provide invaluable strategic insights to our professional services, systems integration, sales, and sales leadership teams, contributing to the development of innovative, cost-effective solutions that deliver exceptional customer service outcomes for our federal clients
Key Responsibilities:
Federal Civilian Agency Expertise:
o Develop and execute strategic business development plans to target and penetrate key Federal Civilian agencies, including but not limited to the U.S. Census Bureau.
o Leverage existing relationships and networks within the Federal Government to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
o Maintain a comprehensive understanding of agency missions, priorities, and technology requirements.
· Business Development & Sales:
o Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and proposal development.
o Lead the development of compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate TTEC Digital's value proposition.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target agencies.
o Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
o Set up meetings with key agency personnel.
Government Employment & Insight:
o Utilize prior experience in government employment to navigate agency structures and understand internal processes.
o Provide valuable insights into agency procurement cycles, budget planning, and decision-making processes.
o Leverage knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements to ensure successful contract execution.
· Insight & Strategic Guidance:
o Provide strategic insights to TTEC Digital's marketing, bus sales and sales leadership regarding upcoming capabilities and offerings relevant to the IRS, based on prior experience.
o Offer guidance on potential Federal technology needs and priorities, while adhering to ethical guidelines and avoiding direct engagement with former colleagues due to recent work experiences.
o Help to shape TTEC Digital's offerings to be more attractive to the Federal Government Agencies.
· Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
o Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and potential opportunities within the Federal Civilian sector.
o Stay abreast of industry’s best practices and emerging technologies relevant to government agencies.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, solutions engineering, and delivery, to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.
o Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales pipeline, opportunities, and market trends.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration, or related fields in Information Technology.
· Minimum of 10+ years of experience in business development, identifying future oriented solutions, creating content for Industry RFPS within the Federal Government sector, with a proven track record of success.
· Extensive experience working with Federal Civilian agencies, particularly the U.S. Commerce and Treasury.
· Prior experience in government employment, with a strong understanding of agency operations and procurement processes.
· Deep knowledge of Federal Government contracting vehicles and regulations.
· Strong understanding of digital transformation technologies, including cloud, data, AI, and automation.
· Ability to pass a government background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master's degree in a related field, OR completion of Senior Executive Service (SES) executive training programs.
· Active public trust and/or previous higher level security clearance.
· Established relationships with key personnel at the Commerce, Treasury and other civilian agencies.
