Quality Assurance Specialist (food industry) - Work From Home

• Implement the BRC Quality System in alignment with BRC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Prepare for and facilitate BRC audits, including coordinating with auditors and addressing non-conformities.
• Monitor and enforce food safety and quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and safety.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to BRC standards and internal policies.
• Review and analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality systems, including policies, procedures, and records.
• Prepare and present reports on quality performance, audit findings, and corrective actions to management.
• Maintain records of manufacturers’ and customers’ compliance with quality standards.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on BRC standards, food safety practices, and quality procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry, with exposure to raw materials.
• Previous experience in a quality control role is preferred.
• Strong background in food microbiology, food technology, and quality management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve quality issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
