Role Summary:
Anju is seeking a System Documentation Specialist to create and maintain high-quality product documentation across multiple software products. The ideal candidate will ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all documentation, making complex information accessible to diverse audiences, and collaborating closely with product teams to support user success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create user manuals, quick reference guides, and context-sensitive online help to ensure that users can easily access and understand product information.
- Work closely with engineering teams to prepare release notes, technical specifications, requirements documents, and other essential materials as needed.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned products, tools, and systems to accurately convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Take ownership of documentation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet high standards.
- Review documentation for clarity, consistency, and accuracy, ensuring that it meets all requirements for release across various channels.
- Revise and improve both your own work and the work of others to maintain a high standard of documentation quality.
- Help identify and implement improvements in documentation processes for greater efficiency and quality.
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures, work instructions, and documentation templates for consistency.
What you should have:
- Excellent command of the English language with accurate spelling and grammar.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience writing technical documentation for software development of complex systems.
- Able to work effectively with colleagues at every level of the organization.
- Able to translate complex information for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to rapidly understand and navigate new software applications.
- Ability to plan, budget and manage production time for documentation.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Word and working knowledge of the entire MS Office Suite
- Working knowledge of SnagIt or similar tools.
- Experience using Adobe RoboHelp, MadCap Flare, or similar authoring tools.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university desired
- Life sciences industry experience and experience with applications designed with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance are an asset.
