Cleaning Technician (735 Taylor)

JOB SUMMARY

The working hours for Cleaning Technician are Monday to Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Additionally, once a week on Fridays.  The Cleaning Technician is responsible for light cleaning and dusting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Vacuum hallway floors from the basement to the 5th floor and clean dusting surfaces

Mopping the floor in the lobby and remove dust.

Emptying garbage containers on each floor (garbage room) and cleaning the wall and floor in the garbage room.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Work experience in a cleaning role, service and/or housekeeping industry preferred

Demonstrate competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in time-sensitive situations

Professional approach

Ability to handle moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes and/or loud noises

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge and understanding of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used to perform job duties

Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following safety procedures

Frequent ascending and descending stairs

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires handling objects weighing up to 50 or more pounds

Standing or walking for more than four (4) hours a day
