About the opportunity:
We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a leading supplier in the hospitality industry.

As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import and export process, ensuring goods are shipped efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with international trade regulations. You will work closely with freight forwarders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate international shipments (import/export), ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and customs agents to manage shipping schedules and documentation.
- Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and international trade laws.
- Monitor shipment tracking and update internal teams on delivery progress.
- Manage and resolve shipping issues, such as delays, customs holds, or discrepancies.
- Work closely with the commercial and supply chain teams to optimise logistics efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and supplier performance.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in international shipping and logistics within a commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience with shipping documentation and international trade compliance.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
