We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a leading supplier in the hospitality industry. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all products are correctly set up, maintained, and compliant with external regulations throughout their lifecycle. The Product Data Coordinator will be responsible for managing product information, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accuracy across various systems.
The successful candidate will be accountable for product number creation and life cycle management within the system, ensuring that new products are fit for market and export, and supporting all business units with detailed product data. This is a critical role, contributing to the smooth running of the business by ensuring high-quality data is consistently maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Set up products in the system, ensuring all supplier documents and specifications are obtained, including codes, weights & dimensions, packaging, and customs classification (including dangerous goods).
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of product data, identifying and remedying gaps where necessary.
- Produce regular reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Control and maintain master databases for product categorisation, extended product, and packaging details.
- Act as the central contact for product documentation, ensuring it meets company standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and evaluate penalty processes for non-compliance.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in product data management, data entry, or a similar role.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create and present management reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and rectify missing or inaccurate data.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- A strong team player who actively seeks process improvement and can propose solutions.
