Job Description

The Head of B2B Marketing is the senior-most CEMEA marketer directly accountable for developing and maximizing the impact and capabilities of Visa’s B2B marketing in CEMEA, across 90+ countries and territories in which Visa operates.  The role reports directly to the CEMEA SVP, Chief Marketing Officer and Global SVP B2B Marketing. This leader will have strong cross function accountability and stakeholder management responsibilities interacting with senior leaders across many functions such as Sales, Products, Corp Comms and country leadership teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Set priority: Work together with CEMEA business units and sales organizations to define key priorities and set strategic direction for B2B Marketing in the Region.
  • Set Strategy:  Define strategies and frameworks that maximize B2B Marketing impact to the sales of Visa solutions
  • Manage the P&L: track B2B Marketing investment and impact and recommend investments for the function.
  • Lead the Organization: elevating the function, improving the team expertise and creating a sense of community
  • Implement lead generation and Account Based Management campaigns tracking efficiency all the way to revenues.
  • Define B2B Marketing content strategy including thought leadership communication and appropriate use social platforms and media in general.
  • Establish the use of events as source of lead generation and relationship-building as well as enhancing Visa’s brand and reputation
  • Develop, adapt and deploy Sales Enablement materials, and training on our solutions to the organization.
  • Be the guardian of Visa for Business Narrative and Visual Identity and name principles.
  • Lead CEMEA implementation of customer acquisition system: leverage global tech stack lead generation operating model to define customer journey mapping, lead generation campaigns, effective hand-off to sales, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Implement measurement framework: define best practices based on results and create a culture of sharing best in class frameworks and driving continuous improvement.
  • Define Buyer Segments: Identify key buyer segments in the marketplace (beyond industry affiliation) and group users/clients by behavioral data, for more efficient and effective targeting
  • Collaborate with B2B CoE, Digital Marketing and Sales Excellence to deploy Technology Infrastructure for B2B Marketing – including CRM system to manage relationships more effectively, CDP for greater personalization, etc.

The Head of B2B Marketing will serve as a key strategic and operating partner to the Product, Value-Added Services, and Commercial and Money Movement Solutions Business Units.

  • Developing B2B Marketing Strategy:  help build demand and drive adoption and retention for new and existing Visa B2B products across all stages of usage.
  • Product lifecycle: align Visa’s marketing efforts (promotions and sales) with Visa’s product lifecycle stages – i.e., development, introduction, growth, maturity, saturation, and decline.
  • Build messaging and positioning for products and services – including unique value propositions, product narratives, solutions bundling.
  • Connect to other parts of regional marketing – product integration and marketing through Sponsorships.
  • Lead collaborative interactions with key stakeholders across the different Business Units.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12-15 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
  • Experience as head of B2B marketing for a multi-product organization at scale
  • Leader who understands how to navigate and influence people within a highly matrixed organization
  • Evident experience on development of people – building, coaching, and retaining high-performance teams across B2B and Product Marketing.
  • Passion for technology and ability to simplify and humanize complexity
  • Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, etc.)
  • Experience in Portfolio management and prioritization, leading of full array of performance & product marketing activities
  • Track record of leveraging both internal user data and consumer insights to define product roadmaps, experiences, and positioning
  • Leadership across social marketing, communications, public relations, and creative production
  • Energetic, self-motivated leader that can cultivate a culture of pride and performance
  • Executive presence and gravitas to engage with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to remain open-minded when a pivot or change in direction is required
  • High degree of confidence, but low ego
  • Character and integrity that aligns with the culture and values of Visa
