Marketing Intern

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, SEO, and market research.

The Marketing Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting our marketing team with market research, account mapping, SEO execution, content research, and other essential marketing functions. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in specialized marketing concepts such as account-based marketing, fishbone analysis, and inbound lead generation. The intern will contribute directly to the growth of our marketing initiatives in the broadband utilities space by executing digital marketing strategies and enhancing our online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

SEO & Digital Marketing:

  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to optimize website content.
  • Assist in creating and updating SEO-friendly blog posts, landing pages, and website copy.
  • Analyze and report on SEO performance, including traffic, rankings, and user engagement metrics.
  • Support in executing paid digital marketing campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

Market Research & Account Mapping:

  • Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitors, and industry developments in the broadband utilities sector.
  • Identify and map potential target accounts and key decision-makers for marketing outreach.
  • Support the team in gathering and analyzing customer insights to refine marketing strategies.

Content Research & Development:

  • Assist in developing content ideas and researching industry topics to create compelling marketing materials.
  • Support the content team with writing blog articles, email campaigns, and social media posts.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s messaging and SEO guidelines.

Inbound Lead Generation & Campaign Support:

  • Assist in executing inbound marketing strategies to attract and convert leads.
  • Support lead nurturing campaigns through email marketing, webinars, and social media engagement.
  • Monitor and track campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing fundamentals, including SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
  • Proficiency in marketing research techniques, including competitor analysis and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush, or similar SEO platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
