Wishpond Technologies currently has the position of Business Development Director available, and we’re excited to tell you about it!

 

OVERVIEW

We are searching for a Business Development Director to join our team on a full-time basis.  This is a fully remote position, and the successful individual could be based anywhere in the world. You will work with an amazing remote team servicing and building relationships with clients based in the US and Canada, In collaboration with the Sales team and all departments.


The Business Director for SDR Management is a strategic and analytical leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). This role combines a data-driven approach with practical, hands-on management to ensure the team meets and exceeds its lead generation and qualification targets. The Business Director plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by turning insights into actionable strategies, motivating the team, and ensuring operational excellence.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performance Management:

◦ Set clear performance metrics and KPIs for SDRs.

◦ Monitor and analyze individual and team performance to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.

◦ Provide actionable feedback and coaching to improve results.

• Data-Driven Strategy:

◦ Develop and implement strategies based on CRM data, analytics, and market trends.

◦ Collaborate with marketing and sales to ensure alignment on lead generation and pipeline goals.

◦ Create and present regular performance reports with insights and recommendations to senior management.

• Team Development:

◦ Recruit, onboard, and train SDRs to excel in lead qualification and pipeline development.

◦ Foster a high-performance culture through goal setting, rewards, and recognition programs.

◦ Act as a mentor and role model, inspiring the team to achieve their full potential.

• Operational Excellence:

◦ Optimize workflows, tools, and technologies to enhance SDR efficiency.

◦ Ensure adherence to best practices in outreach, communication, and lead nurturing.

◦ Manage resources effectively, balancing workload across the team.

• Motivation and Accountability:

◦ Push the team to exceed goals when performance falls short.

◦ Encourage healthy competition and collaboration within the team.

◦ Act decisively to address underperformance while supporting professional growth.

• Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in a leadership role managing SDRs, business development, or a sales-focused team.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to motivate, coach, and guide team members.

Practical understanding of sales tools such as CRM platforms, lead tracking systems, and reporting software.

Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

• Must be detail-oriented, creative and have a passion for helping others achieve their goals

• Self-motivated with the ability to establish and maintain solid relationships through a client-first mentality 

• As part of a diverse team, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

• Must be technical and analytical and have the ability to manage complex projects seamlessly

• Organized, administratively strong, great time management, and have solid writing, phone, and general communication skills

• Fluent in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset

• Willing to participate in ongoing education and training for the role

Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a numbers-driven environment and is passionate about sales development. They possess a strong analytical mindset and the ability to turn data into actionable strategies. Equally, they excel at motivating and mentoring their team, ensuring each SDR achieves their potential while driving the team towards exceptional performance.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This is a 100% remote position, and the individual could be based anywhere in the world

• The individual must be prepared to work standard business hours based on either PST or EST

• Due to the nature of this role, we may verify backgrounds, including conducting employment references, criminal records, and credit checks

• Once hired, the successful candidate must provide a valid government-issued photo ID, proof of SIN and proof of residential address as part of their onboarding process
