Business Development Representative
Buckingham Structural Moving Equipment
Location: Bernville, PA (with some travel)
Buckingham Structural Moving Equipment—a leader in the design and manufacturing of structural lifting systems for buildings, bridges and other large structures—is seeking a full-time Business Development Representative to join our growing team.
This role goes far beyond traditional sales. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building relationships, promoting our specialized line of products and actively seeking to expand our client base both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities include:
- Proactively engage with and support our current list of valued customers.
- Seek out and develop new clients and partnerships in related industries.
- Promote and represent Buckingham’s specialized equipment at trade shows and industry events.
- Research and analyze market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with the design and production team to ensure client feedback is considered.
- Develop and execute outreach campaigns via email, phone, LinkedIn and more.
- Collaborate with marketing and internal leadership to align business goals.
- Prepare sales reports, client outreach summaries and performance evaluations.
Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A background in sales, marketing or business development (experience in industrial or heavy equipment industries is a plus).
- The ability to understand and clearly explain technical products and solutions.
- Self-motivation, strategic thinking and a drive to expand and deepen customer relationships.
- Comfort with travel (some domestic/international travel may be required).

- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales or marketing—preferably in industrial equipment, construction or heavy machinery sectors.
- Proven ability to generate leads, close deals and grow client relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and lead generation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or equipment specs (preferred but not required).
- Willingness to travel regionally, nationally and occasionally internationally as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
