Assistant Project Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to provide daily support and lead administrative efforts across Interior Design project teams in all phases. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for generating quality work befitting the Workshop/APD brand with a focus on procurement, documentation, budget oversight, and project installation. A successful Assistant Project Manager is self-motivated to produce excellent work, highly organized with acute attention to detail, ability to lead and work well in a team, and drive towards project deadlines and moves deliverables forward without hesitation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring progress of projects and enforcing deadlines.
  • Ensuring all projects meet budget and quality Workshop/APD standards.
  • Assisting project teams with client, consultant, vendor, and contractor correspondence.
  • Owning relationship with purchasing agents and serving as main point of contact internally.
  • Managing accessories purchasing, budget status, order tracking.
  • Coordinating with vendors, trades, designers, and architects to capture information that aligns with project execution goals.
  • Drafting and coordinating weekly report content with Senior Interior Designers and Architectural studios.
  • Executing and preparing estimate during bidding process, building submittals, and general construction administration on Interior Design led projects and contracts.
  • Provide support with installations. Onsite tasks include, but are not limited to, setting up furniture, such as making beds and among other duties is a must. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Adept at setting up furniture, such as making beds, among other tasks. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Has high critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Has strong leadership and project management skills.

Position Requirements:

  • Architectural or Interior Design background preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other related software.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, as required.
