ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Since then, for 80 years, across 100 countries, World Relief has partnered with local churches and communities to build a world where families thrive and communities flourish.


Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.


POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will excel at maintaining communication between the Sr Director of Programs and the programs across the region and optimizing the functioning of the programs. 


This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until June 30, 2026 and contingent upon funding extension.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Summary:  Serve and support Sr. Director of Programs along with program leads across the region, to be more informed and effective in managing their programs to serve all clients with excellence!

Programmatic Administrative Tasks
  • Serve as a communications conduit between Sr Director and program directors and other program leads
  • Compose and organize minutes from team mtgs
  • Serve as point person for troubleshooting communication issues and barriers to full and effective collaboration between programs and support teams
  • Represent Sr. Director of Programs at internal and external meetings
  • Assist program leads with financial needs including clarity about YTD and specific expenses
  • Assisting program leads with sorting and manipulating data for reporting
  • Keep up to date with OKRs for programs and other outcome measures
  • Liaison with Executive Assistant of Executive Director on communication and projects as needed
  • Serve as back-up for front desk staff, in all 3 offices, on a rotating basis
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and a team player
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to move forward with multiple projects
  • Good strategic thinking skills and problem-solving orientation; ability to actively seek opportunities and propose solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft software products
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility to work in a frequently changing environment
  • Comfort with taking initiative within established organizational parameters
  • Proven ability to handle information confidentially and with discretion
  • Positive attitude with a good sense of humor, to foster a fun and collaborative environment
  • Ability to communicate fluently in verbal and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience as an administrative assistant, office manager or project manager
  • Cross cultural experience working with diverse populations and cross-cultural communication skills 


$22 - $24.50 an hour
