Vice President, Internal Corporate Systems

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Internal Corporate Systems to lead the development, integration, and optimization of our internal financial and operational systems. This role bridges technology and finance, ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of systems that support accounting, compliance, procurement, HRIS, and other key business functions.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting or finance, with a track record of leading systems transformations and cross-functional teams. You will manage a lean team of 4–5 professionals and collaborate closely with IT, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to align system capabilities with business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of internal corporate systems, with a focus on financial and operational tools (e.g., ERP, expense management, procurement, and HRIS).
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams to ensure systems support accurate financial reporting, close processes, compliance, and audits.
  • Evaluate and implement system upgrades, integrations, and new tools to improve workflow efficiency, data integrity, and cross-departmental visibility.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts, administrators, and systems specialists.
  • Drive data governance and consistency across internal systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams to translate needs into scalable solutions.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, licensing, and third-party integrations.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and cost optimization.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing systems or operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), and financial processes.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional initiatives and leading teams through systems implementations or transformations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem solving.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience with automation tools, workflow platforms, and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Background in a mid-sized to enterprise corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Previous experience implementing an accounting system
  • Previous experience implementing a CRM system
  • Prior experience as a Controller (accounting)

Total Compensation: $270,000 - $310,000

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of our compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
