Employee Experience Specialist

Reporting to our Team Lead - HR, we're searching for an energetic and organized Employee Experience Specialist to elevate our workplace culture! 


In this role, you'll be the driving force behind engaging events, impactful internal communications, and initiatives that foster a positive and thriving environment for our team.


While this position is primarily remote, you'll need to be able to come into our office Downtown Toronto occasionally for team events and other engagement activities.


Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Execution:
  • Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of employee events, including company-wide celebrations, team-building activities, workshops, and recognition programs.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful event execution.
  • Employee Engagement:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Create and manage employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements, milestones, and contributions.
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to assess employee satisfaction and engagement levels, and use insights to inform engagement strategies.
  • Internal Communications:
  • Create and distribute internal communications related to employee events, engagement activities, and company updates.
  • Manage communication channels on Slack, and digital signage to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding in all internal communications.
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets for employee events and engagement initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Track expenses and provide regular budget reports to HR leadership.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for event-related services.
  • Ensure timely delivery of services and maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Employee Onboarding and Orientation:
  • Coordinate onboarding events and orientation programs for new hires to ensure a smooth and welcoming introduction to the company.
  • Develop engaging activities and resources to help new employees integrate into the company culture.


Qualifications:
  • Proven experience: 3+ years in employee event planning, employee engagement, or a related HR role.
  • Creative and organized: A knack for generating ideas and bringing them to life efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage different audiences.
  • Collaboration: A team player who can build relationships and work effectively with various departments.
  • Budget management: Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Passion for culture: A genuine interest in fostering a positive and engaging workplace.
