Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development and Lifecycle Management
-Plan, organize, and execute curriculum lifecycle management efforts in accordance with governance guidance, policies, and organizational needs.
-Align training policies, procedures, and guidelines (PPG) across associated services and provide input to annual training meetings.
-Design and develop curricula for METC training programs, ensuring effective integration of internal and external agency inputs.
-Modify training materials to address unique program needs.
Instructional Program Analysis and Development
-Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional programs using educational technology and interactive systems -such as Interactive Courseware Implementation System (ICIS), METC Blackboard, and Question Mark.
-Develop interactive training materials tailored to diverse multi-service and multi-national audiences.
-Track and report curriculum development milestones based on METC processes.
Problem-Solving and Leadership
-Provide courses of action and solutions for complex curriculum development challenges.
-Collaborate with key leaders and officials to resolve significant issues and improve training operations.
-Analyze operational activities to identify problem areas and recommend actionable solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
Technical Expertise in ISD/SAT Processes
-Serve as a subject matter expert in Instructional Systems Development/Systems Approach to Training (ISD/SAT) methodologies.
-Train METC faculty and staff on ISD/SAT processes to ensure consistent and effective implementation.
Project Management and Coordination
-Plan and execute special projects to improve curriculum development and baseline processes.
-Conduct or attend briefings on instructional design applications and update leadership on training program status.
-Monitor project milestones, assess progress, and present findings to leadership.
Policy Compliance and Continuous Improvement
-Stay current on curriculum development policy changes and recommend courses of action for potential impacts.
-Develop detailed reports and responses through research and analysis to support decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
-Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional systems support.
-Proficiency with curriculum management systems such as ICIS, METC Blackboard, and other instructional technologies.
-Expertise in ISD/SAT processes and multi-service training program development.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
-Experience in planning, tracking, and reporting project milestones.
