People Operations Coordinator

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

Department: People & Admin

Reports to: People Director

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum

Closing Date: Friday 14 February 2025


We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised People Ops Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the HR department by managing administrative tasks, coordinating employee programs, and ensuring compliance with policies. This hybrid role will involve a blend of administrative support and employee experience initiatives to help foster a positive workplace culture and improve HR processes.

About the Role

The People Ops Coordinator works closely with the People and Admin Team, and will support the People Director to drive the HR strategy, foster employee engagement, and ensure HR operations run smoothly to support organisational growth and a positive workplace culture.

Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Oversee HR operations encompassing the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all employees
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Manage benefits enrollment and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries
  • Help plan and coordinate employee engagement activities, team-building events, and company-wide initiatives to foster a positive culture
  • Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing day-to-day HR-related queries, and providing support on HR-related matters
  • Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying employee information
  • Support training and development initiatives by coordinating sessions and maintaining records
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as required. This may include data analysis, preparing presentations, and coordinating team meetings
  • Manage the recruitment process by drafting JDs, advertising roles, scheduling interviews, coordinating communication with candidates, and assisting with interview logistics for all roles

 

About You

Ideally, you come from a background in the People/HR function or administrative role.

 As digital product development specialists, we want you to be able to understand our positioning, differentiators and capabilities, and people.

You Should Have

  • Proven ability to build and nurture valuable relationships to become an indispensable ally
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Confidence in building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation 
  • Ability to comfortably interact between teams (including engineering, designers, product leads, strategists, delivery managers and client stakeholders)
  • A high degree of entrepreneurial spirit and being capable of thinking on your feet and being flexible commercially
  • Strong emotional intelligence, empathy and leadership capability
  • Humility, straightforwardness and high collaboration skills. This will embody our culture and values
  • Passion for excellence and attention to detail, self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and driven with the ability to motivate others
  • Understanding confidentiality and ethical practice
  • Excellent time, planning and project management skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a desire to make a difference in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing business, with the courage to challenge
  • You should be a proactive team player but able to work autonomously and take responsibility as required

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in office management, administrative support, HR, or a related field
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced HR team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite and HR software or systems
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Knowledge of office management and HR best practices, including health and safety compliance and employee well-being

Ideally Also

  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information System) tools, such as BambooHR, Workday, or similar.
  • Event planning or coordination experience, especially for corporate events or team-building activities.
