Shipping and Receiving Coordinator (OCS Technologies, an Aldinger Company)

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our OCS Technologies team, an Aldinger company! 

As our Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, you will manage all aspects of shipping and receiving at our Cleveland Office. You will be responsible for handling, documenting, and coordinating all logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all packages remain organized and secure.  

This is a high-impact role as the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator’s contributions are crucial to the efficiency and functionality of our operations and you will be closely partnering and collaborating with all departments to ensure smooth operations and uphold high standards of customer satisfaction. 

 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the packaging, shipment and receipt of all goods, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. 
  • Delivery: Safely pick up and deliver customer equipment in Cleveland, OH and surrounding areas – This could be as much as 75% of the job in a given week. 
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents required for the transport of goods both domestically 
  • Coordination: Work closely with the OCS team to coordinate and prioritize shipments. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to shipping and receiving practices. 
  • Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment in the shipping and receiving area, adhering to company policies and safety standards. 
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to damaged or lost shipments as well as discrepancies in orders. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and administrative skills. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.  
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. 

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Familiar with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager). 
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in calibrations.  
  • Experience with IndySoft.
