Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-friendly Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling transactions accurately, assisting customers, and maintaining a well-organized checkout area. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and purchases
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Ensure proper handling of cash and register balancing at the end of each shift
• Assist in stocking and organizing merchandise near the checkout area
• Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling and customer interactions
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive store environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights if needed
