Tech Stack

Our cloud-native environment leverages Azure, .NET/C#, CosmosDB, Cognitive Search, and a suite of Azure services. Our front end utilizes JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Dart, and Flutter. Monitoring and alerting are handled by Azure Monitor & Application Insights, alongside numerous integrations with external services.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed, remote team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career progression for team members.
• Technical Strategy and Execution:
  • Drive the technical vision and strategy for the engineering team, aligning with company goals and industry trends.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and robust backend systems.
• Project Management:
  • Manage project timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Lead 0-1 projects, from initial concept through to production, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions.
• Process Improvement:
  • Implement and refine engineering processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments, including Product, QA, DevOps, and Sales, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams to drive project success.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as C#, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, Haskell, etc.
• Competency in both Relational and NoSQL databases, with experience supporting these systems in a production environment.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead the development and maintenance of large-scale, high-traffic backend systems.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in building and scaling engineering teams in a distributed, remote environment
• Extensive experience working with C# and ASP.NET, experience managing frontend engineers in Angular or React.
• Experience with AI/ML workloads, integrating machine learning models into production systems.
• Prior experience in logistics or transportation systems, providing a unique perspective on industry-specific challenges and solutions.
