Human Resources Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Specialist

CampusWorks is seeking an experienced recruiting professional ready for a new challenge as our onsite Recruiting Specialist, where you will work directly at our client’s site, acting as an integral part of their HR team. In this role, you will provide hands-on recruiting support, collaborate closely with our client, and help drive their talent acquisition efforts while working onsite. 

 

The Human Resources Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Specialist is a key contributor to the Human Resources team at our client institution, responsible for identifying, attracting, and securing top talent for our client institution. This role involves managing the end-to-end recruitment process, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. The specialist will also play an integral role in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to enhance workforce diversity and align with the college’s mission of serving a diverse community of learners.

Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition 
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for faculty, staff, and administrative positions. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand departmental needs and create comprehensive job descriptions. 
  • Leverage innovative sourcing techniques, including social media, job boards, professional networks, and employee referrals, to attract a diverse pool of candidates. 
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future needs. 

  • Employer Branding 
  • Promote our client as an employer of choice through strategic employer branding initiatives. 
  • Develop compelling content and marketing materials to highlight the college’s values, benefits, and workplace culture. 
  • Represent the college at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach programs to build relationships and expand talent networks. 

  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) 
  • Partner with the HR team to implement recruitment strategies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
  • Ensure hiring practices align with DEI goals and eliminate barriers to equitable employment opportunities. 

  • Recruitment Operations 
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines, schedule interviews, and maintainaccurate records. 
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and diversity outcomes. 
  • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on recruitment best practices and compliance with employment laws. 

  • Candidate Experience 
  • Ensure a seamless and professional candidate experience from application to onboarding. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing timely communication and updates throughout the hiring process. 

  • Compliance, Recordkeeping, & Reporting 
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of applicant data, interview notes, and hiring decisions. 
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of candidate information in compliance with data privacy regulations. 
  • Support the organization's efforts to ensure hiring practices align with EEO laws, ADA requirements, and other applicable employment regulations. 


Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education 
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus. 

  • Experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruiting. 
  • Experience with recruitment in higher education or the public sector is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technologies. 

  • Skills & Competencies 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and online sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter). 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
