We have recently launched a new service line specializing in care for children and dependent adults with developmental disabilities. We are a contracted provider with multiple Regional Centers throughout California, and we are looking for YOU to help us grow this exciting new platform!
The ideal candidate for Care Partners Authorization Coordinator must radiate a passion for helping others and embody Care Partners’ core values of love, empathy, and compassion. The Authorization Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing the authorization lifecycle, ensuring service utilization is monitored, renewals are completed on time, and accurate hours are applied. This includes collaborating with families, caregivers, and insurance representatives to provide seamless support.
Requirements:
- Experience in authorization coordination or a related role within the disability services field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and internet-based applications.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a federal background screen.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance.
Essential Functions:
- Authorization Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of service authorizations, from initial requests to renewals.
- Ensure that utilization is tracked and managed accurately to maximize approved hours.
- Verify that all service hours are applied appropriately and in compliance with guidelines.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of authorizations and renewals in the company’s CRM system.
- Ensure all processes comply with state regulations and Regional Center requirements.
- Communication and Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for authorization-related inquiries from families and Regional Center representatives.
- Provide clear, timely updates to families and caregivers regarding authorization statuses.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and Regional Center representatives.
- Act as a trusted resource for families navigating the authorization process for disability services.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Intake and Operations teams to ensure authorization accuracy and smooth transitions to care services.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve the authorization process and overall efficiency.
