About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Associate Marketing Director to lead the marketing efforts for Careem in Abu Dhabi. This role is the city marketing lead, responsible for crafting and executing strategies to grow our platform across services. While the focus will initially be on Food, the role also covers Groceries, Careem Plus, and platform-wide initiatives to strengthen Careem’s position in the market. If you're a creative marketer with a data-driven approach and a deep understanding of Abu Dhabi’s consumer landscape, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for Abu Dhabi, balancing a focus on Food while leveraging opportunities across other services like Groceries and Careem Plus.
  • Design innovative campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Leverage in-app, digital, and offline channels to deliver compelling experiences that enhance brand loyalty.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key partners, to create impactful co-marketing opportunities that amplify Careem’s presence in Abu Dhabi.
  • Use data-driven insights to understand market trends, campaign performance, and user behavior, refining strategies to maximize impact and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain a strong brand presence for Careem in Abu Dhabi, ensuring messaging resonates with local audiences. Highlight Careem’s value proposition across different services.
  • Work closely with product, commercial, and finance teams to align marketing initiatives with company goals. Act as the marketing voice of Abu Dhabi in shaping strategies that reflect the city’s unique dynamics.
  • Stay ahead of the latest trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in Abu Dhabi, adapting marketing strategies to remain relevant and impactful.
  • Allocate and manage the marketing budget effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Lead and mentor a local marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and results.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital platforms, product marketing, and partnership management.
  • Proven ability to design and execute end-to-end marketing strategies that drive measurable growth and engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform marketing decisions, including user segmentation, campaign performance, and optimization.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of Abu Dhabi’s consumer landscape, cultural nuances, and competitive environment.
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
