Procurement Analyst

The role holder will play a pivotal role in the global procurement team's efforts to establish a procurement centre of excellence at Careem. This involves a comprehensive overhaul of legacy strategies, with a focus on automation and process improvements. The goal is to enhance agility in tandem with the company's rapid scaling initiatives. The global Procurement team is looking for a Procurement Analyst with a strong focus on data and analytics to optimize our procurement strategies, enhance efficiency, and provide strategic insights. The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mind, advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, and a good understanding of procurement processes.
What you'll do:
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analysis tools to extract insights from procurement data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track procurement performance.
- Analyze historical procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance.
- Analyze supplier performance data to assess reliability, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve supplier issues.
- Identify inefficiencies in the procurement process and recommend improvements, working closely with the team lead.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process enhancements that streamline operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an analyst role with a strong focus on data and analytics.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such Advanced Excel, Power BI, Looker Studio, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
