The Director, Partnerships is responsible for driving new business partnerships across the US and potentially North America as part of a global sponsorship team. Tasked with generating partnership revenue for the Cirque Brand and Shows, this individual will lead sponsorship outreach, pitches and negotiation across a broad scope of opportunities with an emphasis on our Big Top Shows and Residencies.  This role reports to the VP, Sponsorships. 



Essential Functions  


·       Lead new business sales efforts for partnerships across the US Partnership Portfolio 

·       Generate leads, drive revenue, lead contract negotiations, and work with internal stakeholders to ensure deals are beneficial for client and company  

·       Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth  

·       Manage and own a pipeline of opportunities, driving conversations forward to close 

·       Leverage and maintain a roster of contacts at brands that spend in sponsorship on a regional and national basis 

·       Stay current on trends, brands, and relevant news to strengthen pitch value 

·       Willingness to travel and meet with clients in person, attend events, and networking functions (as needed).  

·       Play an active role in key category development and opening up new leads and conversations 



Qualifications  


To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

·       5+ years of integrated domestic integrated brand partnership/sponsorship sales experience within Arts & Entertainment (i.e. live events, event / experiential production agencies, media platforms, sports marketing agencies, fashion publishing, and so on).  

·       Successful track record with deal sizes in the mid- to high-six figures range 

·       Passionate about Arts & Entertainment, fostering creativity and joy within a fast-paced environment  

·       Excellent at communication and interpersonal relationships across management, teammates and various stakeholders  

·       Strong proposal writing capabilities and time management skills 

·       Hunter-mentality and excellent at chasing down new leads and bringing new opportunities to the table 

·       Knowledge of and interest in entertainment and sponsorship landscapes, confident across white-space partnership development  

·       Comfort working in a remote environment across multiple time zones 

·       Multiple language skills a Plus
