The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is the agency responsible for regulating New York City's taxicab and for-hire vehicle industry. TLC licenses and regulates over 130,000 vehicles and more than 175,000 drivers, making it the most active taxi and limousine regulatory agency in the United States. Aside from vehicles and drivers, TLC also regulates taxicab agents and for-hire vehicle bases, including popular app-based transportation services. The TLC plays a pivotal role in furthering public safety within New York City and is a lead agency in a citywide effort to reduce traffic-related injuries. One of the largest components of TLC’s operations is the enforcement of agency and administrative code regulations.
Responsibilities will include: processing time and leave information for assigned departments; performing timekeeping and absence control functions; creating, assigning, and modifying employee schedules in CityTime; tracking leaves of absence for employees including medical leaves, worker’s compensation leaves, and other leave types; calculating workers compensation time restorals; responding to time and leave inquiries from employees; tracking, reporting, and escalating issues; preparing reports using CityTime and CHRMS; routing CityTime issues to OPA via remedy tickets; approving pay and leave events; preparing and reviewing payroll, CityTime and CHRMS reports to ensure that the information is accurate and complete; assisting payroll with the processing of quarterly differentials and step increases for the Taxi and Limousine Inspectors; coordinating biweekly check distribution; researching resolutions to complex issues and instructing staff members on appropriate procedures; maintaining a filing system for active and inactive employees; assisting with the preparation of Managerial Lump Sums; and performing related duties and serving as back-up to the Director of Payroll and Timekeeping and other timekeepers.

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
