ROLE DESCRIPTION

As part of the People & Culture team at Cognia Law, you will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, and acquiring top-tier talent across multiple functional areas, including legal and operational roles. This role focuses on recruiting both contract and permanent positions for Cognia.

Working closely with internal hiring managers, you will play a pivotal role in building diverse and high-performing teams on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of recruitment processes in various domains, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in an environment that values versatility and collaboration.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, collaborating with hiring managers.
  • Utilise advanced Boolean search techniques to identify potential candidates across various platforms.
  • Conduct proactive headhunting to engage with passive candidates and build a robust talent pipeline.
  • Draft job descriptions, post vacancies, and conduct initial screenings.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate offer letters and contracts.
  • Oversee background screening, reference verifications, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Handle on-boarding and off-boarding procedures for new joiners.
  • Support inductions for new team members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files.
  • Organise People & Culture-related PowerPoint presentations.
  • Contribute to the performance review process.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the People & Culture department.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective job descriptions.
  • Utilise various recruitment channels to source and attract qualified candidates.
  • Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess candidate suitability.
  • Coordinate and participate in selection processes, including assessments and interviews.
  • Tertiary education in Human Resources Management is desired.
  • 3+ years proven experience in Recruitment - Internal or Agency.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and attracting top talent ideally in the Legal Sector.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry and contract legal recruitment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
  • Strong administrative skills.
