Assistant Buyer - Temporary

About the Opportunity: The purpose of the Temp Assistant Buyer role is to provide efficient and timely support to the buying team, covering all aspects of the portfolio and administration, as well as being the first point of contact for queries.

The Temp Assistant Buyer is responsible for assisting in the end to end process of the buying lifecycle, ensuring buys are completed as per the critical path from vendor creation to item/ PO creation to receiving and items going live for sale to customers.

• Purchase Order Processing and On Order Maintenance:
• Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with company policies
• Ensure timely and accurate order placement and follow-up
• Verify order accuracy, including quantity, pricing, and delivery schedules
• Monitor On Order Report weekly to ensure purchase orders are tracking on time
• Coordinate with vendors and Director of Merchandising on potential shifts and then action in the system

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2-3 years working experience in a fashion/ retail environment preferred
• Database management experience with advanced Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite application skills 
• Extremely high accuracy & attention to detail
• A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• High degree of flexibility and initiative

Compensation $70,000 per year

4 month temp with possibility of extension.

Based out of HQ in Costa Mesa, CA with a minimum of 1-2 days in office.
