Summary/Function:
D.A. Davidson & Co. is seeking a skilled, analytical, and experienced professional to join the Finance team as an Associate Vice President (AVP) in Treasury, focused on financial risk management. Reporting to the Treasurer, in this key role, you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on firm-wide risks, including, but not limited to, market risk related to fixed income and equity trading inventory, credit risk, counterparty risk, and funding and liquidity risk; as well as assisting with treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and capital planning. Your role will be critical toward mitigating firm-wide risk and optimizing liquidity and capital.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or Risk Management preferred
- Professional designation (e.g., Financial Risk Management certification) preferred
- FINRA Series 99 or the ability to obtain it within 120 days of employment
- Proven experience in financial risk management, capital markets, and/or cash management, preferably within a broker-dealer or other financial institution
- Strong knowledge of capital markets, financial products, and risk management
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
- Proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis (familiarity with R or Python preferred), building presentations, and business writing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically in dynamic and fast-paced environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to risk management and treasury in the financial sector
- Maintain client and firm confidentiality
- Ability to proactively work with both external and internal clients
- Ability to relate with others in a professional manner to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives
Duties:- Enhance monitoring and reporting of firm-wide current and potential future financial risk exposures including, but not limited to, market, credit, counterparty, and funding and liquidity
- Enhance financial risk measurement and analysis including, but not limited to, value-at-risk and expected shortfall
- Help to design and maintain models for scenario analysis and stress tests
- Work collegially and collaboratively to develop risk mitigation strategies and enhance governance and controls, operational processes, and policy and procedure documentation
- Assist with funding and liquidity risk management, including contingency planning
- Provide insights and recommendations to Finance leadership and senior management
- Assist with daily liquidity management, position monitoring and cash flow forecasting
- Assist, working collaboratively with FP&A and Accounting teams, with capital management and planning
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in treasury and financial risk management, including participating in relevant training
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

$115,000 - $125,000 a year
The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
