Summary/Function:

D.A. Davidson is seeking a dynamic and driven Institutional Sales Associate to join our Equity Capital Markets, Institutional Equities team in New York City. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work closely with senior sales professionals, analysts, and traders in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, team-oriented, and passionate about the financial markets.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate daily with senior institutional sales representatives to support client engagement and business development efforts.
  • Draft and distribute morning market notes and relevant research to clients.
  • Manage and track client communications, including logging interactions in a CRM system.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with research analysts, management teams, and institutional clients.
  • Work closely with D.A. Davidson’s research analysts and trading desk to fulfill client requests and provide timely market insights.
  • Assist in the distribution of financial models & research reports
  • Participate in daily and weekly sales and trading meetings to stay informed on market trends and firm initiatives.
  • Generate ideas and provide strategic thinking to enhance client service and drive revenue.
  • Entertain clients and represent the firm at industry events and meetings.
  • Adapt to a dynamic workflow with evolving priorities and responsibilities.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics.
  • 1–2 years of experience in finance or a related industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, macroeconomics, and current market events.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for financial markets.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities.
  • Intellectually curious with a desire to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Personable and engaging, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.


$82,000 - $86,000 a year
The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $82,000 - $86,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. This role is eligible to participate in applicable D.A. Davidson variable compensation programs.
