Vice President, Growth 

Location: Remote (Must be based in Texas, with a preference for candidates in Dallas or Houston) with up to 30% travel

ABOUT CODE2COLLEGE

Established in 2016, Code2College is a Texas-based STEM equity and workforce development nonprofit with a mission to dramatically increase the number of minority and low-income high school students who enter and excel in STEM undergraduate majors and careers. By 2030, Code2College endeavors to make high school internships in the Tech industry standard. Through its scaled model, Code2College aims to place 2,000 high school students into paid Tech internships in 2026 alone, setting them on a life-changing trajectory in STEM fields.

To achieve this, Code2College is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Vice President of Growth to lead our expansion, cultivate strategic partnerships, and secure transformational opportunities for the next generation of diverse technical talent. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a brand-new role that offers an extraordinary chance to build and scale a growth strategy that will shape the future of Code2College. As Vice President, Growth, you will be the key driver of internship and corporate partnership initiatives, working alongside the CEO to engage tech companies, foster investment in our mission, and create a sustainable foundation for expansion. This role requires a mission-driven leader with both strategic vision and strong execution skills, capable of developing a high-performing team and ensuring measurable impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Strategic Leadership & Organizational Growth

  • Serving as a senior leader in the organization, you will provide leadership, thought partnership, and support to ensure the success of Code2College.
  • Define and implement strategic priorities in collaboration with the President/CEO and Board of Directors effectively communicating the business development vision, strategy and progress. 
  • Build a national awareness strategy for the organization, starting with key markets like Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth.
  • Establish and launch a Regional Advisory Board with consistent stakeholder meeting cadence (monthly) in NYC, Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Denver, and two additional metros.
  • Support organizational growth by building Director-level reports to oversee direct management of the Growth Team while ensuring long-term sustainability and leadership continuity.

 Revenue Generation & Financial Sustainability

  • Drive revenue growth, ensuring the GrowthTeam secures $125K per month in recurring revenue.
  • Develop a sustainable financial model to support long-term program expansion and impact.
  • Build and implement a diversified revenue strategy, incorporating corporate sponsorships, philanthropic contributions, and earned revenue opportunities.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Expand and grow the organization's employer network by cultivating relationships with national and regional companies, workforce development agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Grow the volume of internship placements ensuring targets to secure 200 internship placements by Summer 2025 and scale to 2,000 by Summer 2026 are met. 
  • Onboard at least 1,000 Small- or Medium Businesses (SMBs) onto the hiring platform within the first 6 months.
  • Hire and develop a Director of Partnerships to lead partnership acquisition and relationship management.

Team Development & Operational Excellence

  • Successfully support the Director of Growth to fully manage the Growth team within the first year. 
  • Wort with, coach and empower the Growth Team to operate independently for at least 80% of their daily work.
  • Establish a high-performance culture through leadership coaching, clear goal-setting, and professional development initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in business, education, or nonprofit sectors.
  • 5+ years experience managing staff and coaching teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed team and organizational goals.
  • Experience with sales and/or business development that has led to revenue generation of at least 1M annually.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management. 
  • Exceptionally strong project management and time management skills. 
  • High level of comfort taking and implementing frequent feedback to improve the work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion to work at an organization that is minority-led and focused on serving underrepresented minorities.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States required.

WHAT WE OFFER

This role offers a competitive salary range of $175,000 - $200,000, with the opportunity for an additional performance-based bonus of up to $50,000. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Typically, new hires are brought in at a salary between the range minimum and midpoint. Code2College also offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision plans.
