Job Summary
Are you ready to dive into the fast-paced beauty industry and make your mark? As a Corporate Communications Intern at e.l.f. Beauty, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our communications team to drive brand visibility, engagement, and reputation. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience in crafting compelling communications, monitoring media coverage, and assisting with high-impact projects and events. You’ll help shape internal and external messaging across platforms like LinkedIn and Slack while gaining invaluable exposure to industry-leading strategies. Responsibilities:
- Media Monitoring & Analysis: Track media coverage and sentiment surrounding e.l.f. Beauty, providing insightful updates to the communications team and offering key takeaways for strategic decision-making.
- Share of Voice (SOV) Insights: Conduct SOV analysis to measure e.l.f. Beauty’s visibility and media presence compared to competitors, helping to inform communication strategies.
- Administrative Support: Provide crucial support to the communications team by scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing key files, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Communication Asset Management: Maintain an organized inventory of press releases, images, videos, and other assets, ensuring easy accessibility for future initiatives.
- Social Media Performance Analysis: Analyze LinkedIn performance metrics to optimize content, engagement strategies, and audience interaction.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Foster seamless communication and collaboration across all teams, ensuring a supportive and cohesive work environment that drives results.
- Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy Support: Track communication assets used in GTM campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with campaign goals.
- Industry Research & Insights: Conduct research on the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging communication platforms, bringing fresh insights to the table.
- Awards & Speaking Opportunities: Help track industry awards and speaking opportunities, positioning e.l.f. Beauty for recognition and thought leadership.
- Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of corporate events, such as press conferences, product launches, and industry conferences, elevating the e.l.f. Beauty brand.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- A strong passion for the beauty industry and an enthusiasm for e.l.f. Beauty’s mission to make beauty accessible for all.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Previous experience with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms is a plus.
Bonus: Experience in graphic design or creating social media assets to support content creation.
Bonus: Prior internship or coursework experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
Must be available to work in-person in our NY office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
