This role will be full-time in-person in our Boston office. We’re seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant/Office Manager to support our dynamic eight-person Leadership Team while also serving as a key member of the People Team. In this role, you'll manage the day-to-day operations of our Boston office, ensuring a seamless, organized, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Role Responsibilities include:- Executive Support – Provide administrative assistance to all Leadership Team members, including scheduling, travel coordination, expense report submissions, and various tasks as needed.
- Office Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Boston office, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace. Own office logistics, including mail management, badge creation, vendor coordination, and maintaining office processes on the internal wiki.
- General Administrative Support: Assist the People Team with interview scheduling, in-person onboarding logistics, and other administrative tasks. Some of these tasks include: supporting with the planning of All Company Offsites, sending out employee life event gifts, working with vendors to create employee swag, etc
Within 1 month, you will: - Onboard and learn about Ellevation’s mission to improve outcomes for EL students.
- Understand Ellevation’s values and how our teams collaborate to drive results.
- Learn our internal communication tools (G-suite, Slack, Zoom, etc) norms, and practices
- Manage office operations including mail collection and sorting, badge creation, overall office organization, providing office tours, running work-related errands, and maintaining up-to-date information on our wiki regarding these office processes etc.
- Build strong working relationships with Milk St. building management.
- Everyone plays a role in keeping our office clean, and you'll help ensure the kitchen and conference rooms stay organized and presentable. This includes keeping the refrigerator in order, managing the dishwasher, and maintaining a welcoming space. Teamwork is key—don't hesitate to ask for help when needed!"
Within 3 months, you will:- Play a key factor in the planning and execution of the office renovations and reopening
- Coordinate meetings, meals, and travel for the leadership team and other departments as needed
- Own administrative tasks surrounding Company All Hands: Creating New Hire and Elleversary Slides as well as keeping the Wiki up to date with recordings
- Be the point person for all external vendors, office supply requests, and maintenance requests, such as: Pixel, Red Thread, Boston Beans, and EzCatering.
- Assist the People Team with any administrative needs, such as scheduling interviews, scheduling virtual onboarding sessions, helping to run in person interview coordination, etc
- Fully owns the DevPro Bi-Weekly All Hands preparation, recordings, communication, and Wiki Uploads.
Within 6 months, you will: - Fully own the management of the office: Identify improvements to the office, processes and workflows to optimize our office space. Train employees to effectively use the conference room spaces and technology.
- Support in the preparation and execution of the Bi-Annual Company offsites. This includes booking travel for new hires and guest speakers, creating seating arrangements, coordinating shipments, etc
- Coordinate with People Leaders to plan and execute departmental offsites and events.

$50,000 - $70,000 a year
Ellevation is transparent about its approach to pay which includes competitive base salary, annual performance-based raise, and bonus (or commission for sales positions). The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $70,000 with a 10% annual bonus potential and the budgeted target is the midpoint, commensurate with candidate experience and internal parity.
