Accounting Summer Internship
**This position will work onsite in the Oakbrook Terrace office for 2-3 days and 1-2 days remotely
Salary: $22/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week, for 10-12 weeks in Summer 2024 (June - August)
The value of this position
The Embroker Finance team is looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Accounting Intern who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role will have the opportunity to learn and gain first-hand experience shadowing and working alongside a dynamic Accounting team.
What you will own in this role
The Accounting Intern will collaborate with Accounting team members to analyze actual financial data and learn more about bookkeeping software. A key project will involve reconciling account statements, tracking findings, and learning to make recommendations to drive issues to resolution. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player who can multitask efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Specific responsibilities may include the support of:
- Monthly accounting close process
- Billing/collections & cash settlement processes
- Reconciliation of recurring vendor payments
What experience we believe is the right fit
- Recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's in Accounting or Finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Comfortable in a quick and dynamic environment
- Motivated with a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
