Position Overview:

As the Project Manager, you are primarily responsible for project financials, schedule, risk management, quality, and client relationships and needs. This position is a managerial position responsible for contracts and/or work orders that reports to the General Manager.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Represent and demonstrate the values of F.H. Paschen: tenacity, versatility, ingenuity and pride.
• Responsible for P&L for projects assigned.
• Responsible for client relationships and ability to develop new business through new and existing clients.
• Create a project team atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork amongst its members.
• Responsible for the management of the entire project, including scheduling, purchasing, quality and safety.
• Ability to participate in preconstruction services, including estimating and value engineering.
• Supervisory responsibility for Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Construction Interns assigned to contracts.
• Collaborate and monitor Superintendent’s performance on contracts.
• Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners.
• Point of contact for project management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers and more
• Understand details of project scope of work
• Create and maintain project cost reports.
• Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners Develop field quality assurance and quality control plan with Superintendent.
• Collaboration of project safety plan with Superintendent(s)
• Responsible for managing MBE/WBE subcontracting requirements.
• Responsible for EEO/Affirmative action contract requirements
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Hour Options:

• General work hours are 7:30am - 5pm and 5-day work weeks are standard. Note that work hours and workdays may vary (changes, additions, etc.) based on critical work activities and/or required safety supervision.

• B.S. in Construction Management or Engineering and / or 10+ years of construction experience.

• Experience in education, municipal, and mass transit markets is preferred.
• Experience running projects over $20mil
• Well versed in government and municipal contracts
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting and cash flow management.
• Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary.
