Forge is based in Columbus, Ohio, in a 200,000 square foot facility known affectionately by team members as, the Hearth. The Hearth, is a custom-designed cGMP facility dedicated to AAV manufacturing and hosts scalable, end-to-end manufacturing services.  

About The Role

We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Forge Biologics team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high growth gene therapy manufacturing and therapeutics development company located in Columbus, Ohio. The candidate will work directly with Finance leadership as well as having exposure to the leaders and departments across the organization. The ideal candidate will be heavily involved in corporate budgeting, periodic reporting presentations, periodic forecasting, and supporting results commentary across the organization.  The candidate will develop partnerships across various departments, the ability to identify risk, and create/maintain adaptable financial modeling. This position requires an analytical mindset, critical thinking, adaptability, organizational and task management skills. 

What You’ll Do

• Prepare management reporting and board materials
• Partner in the execution of Forge’s annual budget and forecasting procedures
• Partner in creating and maintain financial analyses to aid in understanding the company performance/results
• Produce insightful budget, forecast, and actual result presentations highlighting key performance indicators
• Prepare and understand variances in monthly financial performance, both against budget, forecast and prior periods. Communicate financial trends in a concise manner to department leaders
• Aid in process improvements and automation in Forge’s Financial reporting process
• Able to identify trends across multiple reporting tools/systems and present in a concise and well-organized manner
• Additional ad hoc Finance projects as needed

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• +2 years of experience in an FP&A or financial reporting role
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and tools. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and forecasting
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication to present financial information clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work onsite (Columbus, Ohio), 3-4 days/week on average

Work Environment and Physical Demands  

This position works in a typical office environment where the physical work demands will vary depending on the specific tasks and duties required of the job. This is largely a sedentary role; persons holding office positions are generally subject to inside environmental conditions having the lighting, temperature, and noise of an open floor-plan office environment. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Regularly communicate with others in person, over the phone, and electronically. Must be able to move and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
