We are seeking an experienced Installation & Operations Manager to oversee local contractors, manage site operations, and coordinate environmental compliance activities. This role combines technical oversight, contractor management, and some business development responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Site Operations & Technical Management:
- Oversee site inspections and sensor calibration programs to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure sites are well-maintened, either directly or by managing local technicians.
- Coordinate contractors and supervise site preparation activities for new installations
- Monitor and operate flare systems, ensuring optimal performance and maximizing up-time
- Analyze operational trends and provide feedback to engineering team for design improvements
- Develop and implement strategic plans for regional operations as the company scales up across the US
- Build and maintain relationships with local contractors and service providers
- Environmental Compliance & Grant Management:
- Manage data collection activities and calculations for quantitative site assessments, potentially with academic collaborators.
- Coordinate with local government offices to obtain permits and supporting measurements
- Regional Business Development:
- Host site visits for prospective farmer clients
- Conduct site assessments for new project opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with local agricultural community
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in technical operations management or project management
- Experience managing contractors and field operations
- Previously installed equipment on farms
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the region with personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Must live in the Rochester, Syracuse, Ithaca, or Buffalo regions of upstate NY
- Basic electrical, ag engineering, mechanical, and plumbing knowledge – site installation activities include building kitted steel structural frames, PVC pipefitting, mechanical assembly of our flares using hand tools, concrete anchoring, wiring, and flammable gas system operations and troubleshooting. An applicant does not need to have experience in all areas.

Work Environment:

- Regular travel to sites within the region
