Senior Business Analyst - US Regulatory Compliance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in US financial regulations to join a high-performing team within a leading hedge fund in New York City. This is an initial six-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of US regulatory requirements, particularly FINRA and other relevant regulatory frameworks. You will be responsible for working across regulatory projects, implementing new processes, and ensuring adherence to compliance standards. This role requires someone who can operate independently in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on US financial regulations, with a strong focus on FINRA and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory-driven process improvements, ensuring compliance with US market regulations.
  • Work closely with compliance, legal, operations, and technology teams to enhance regulatory adherence.
  • Analyze and interpret regulatory changes, assessing their impact on business operations and reporting obligations.
  • Define and document business requirements for regulatory initiatives.
  • Conduct data analysis and process optimization to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support regulatory audits, examinations, and inquiries as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis within Hedge Fund, with a strong background in US regulatory compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of FINRA, SEC, CFTC, and broader US regulatory requirements for financial products (Commodities),
  • Strong experience in regulatory change projects, including gathering requirements, process improvement, and implementation.
  • Excellent data analysis and process optimization skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Prior experience working within hedge funds, investment banks, or financial regulators is highly desirable.
  • Ability to write clear business requirements and work effectively with technology teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

$1000 per day Corp to Corp.

Initial 6 months contract (with expectations to extend)

This is a fully on site role requiring 5 days a week in the office
