Purchasing Clerk - Memphis (Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm)

•  Prepares purchase orders for stocked items and requests made by internal customers and satellite labs.

• Communicates with vendors and suppliers to place, receive, and reconcile any shipments as necessary.

• Performs inventory count verification when necessary to reconcile inventory balance file accuracy.

• Performs receiving transactions with inventory control software to close out invoice-receipt matching.

•  Monitors material issues and closing in designated software.

•  Determines if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs. Places inventory orders as needed.

• Monitors shipments to ensure on-time deliveries.

•  Traces shipments and follows up on undelivered goods to resolve shipping issues.

• Confers with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services; determines corrective actions.

•  Maintains and reviews computerized, or manual records of items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventories.

•  Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum one (1) year of purchasing or inventory experience.

• Prior experience with an enterprise resource software program (SAP, Oracle, Great Plains, Microsoft 365, etc.), a plus.

Pay Range: $17.00-$17.00p/hr.
