What does it mean to be a Dealer Sales Representative at GLS?


The Dealer Sales Representative position is a key resource for creating and maintaining professional and profitable relationships with dealer customers within a larger assigned territory, targeted at 20-25% more territory. The role is responsible for capturing deals that meet the company’s risk and profitability guidelines.


How will you drive value within the organization as a Dealer Sales Representative?
  • Develop and maintain positive business relationships with dealers through daily conversations and provide exceptional customer service
  • Communicate timely and effectively while responding to all credit processing questions and inquiries
  • Work with the dealer representative to provide a deal structure ensuring optimal success with our program turning more applications into contracts
  • Establish and track monthly purchase objectives for assigned dealers
  • Assist the Funding team with the resolution of documentation issues


What should you already know to be successful as a Dealer Sales Representative?
  • Must have professional and persuasive communication and negotiation skills with the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Consultative selling skills, executing the sales process, and delivering the best solutions to needs
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of the internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
  • Ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
