Position Summary

Depending on background, interests, and availability of work, a summer intern at HASI will be assigned to one of several teams within the company, such as investment origination and structuring, portfolio management, or finance. A summer intern will be expected to contribute from day one on meaningful assignments, working independently and on teams to address challenges and present solutions to management.

There is some flexibility for a hybrid component to this role, but the expectation would be four days in office, one day remote.

Education/Experience

MBA  or Master in Finance, Economics, or Sustainability/Environmental Management with undergraduate focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field  

1+ year relevant work experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Sustainable Infrastructure/Project Finance preferred

Skills

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point

Experience working with complex excel models a plus

Knowledge of Bloomberg a plus

Strong attention to detail

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative, entrepreneurial environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
