THE OPPORTUNITY
Hint is on the hunt for a Senior Director, Sales (Network) to lead our next wave of growth in the evolving beverage industry, driving sales and execution across key beverage distributors & broad-line wholesalers. As the Senior Director, Sales (Network), reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, you’ll be at the forefront of driving bold sales strategies and building connections that will fuel our nationwide growth through our distributor & broadline wholesale partners. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Oversee and lead a team responsible for driving sales and execution across key beverage distributors & broadline wholesalers.
- Mentor, coach, and develop the sales team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and professional growth.
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to expand Hint’s presence in the CPG market.
- Lead sales outreach efforts, including targeted campaigns, calls, and strategic meetings to drive new business opportunities.
- Work closely with operations and finance teams to align sales forecasts with inventory, production, and distribution plans.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key industry leaders, leveraging your network to unlock new retail partnerships.
- Collaborate with retailers to create long-term strategic plans that drive mutual growth, including customized marketing and promotional strategies.
- Provide market insights and competitive analysis to inform sales strategies and maximize growth potential.
- Utilize category management and shopper marketing to optimize Hint’s assortment, pricing, and shelf strategy across different retail channels.
- Establish and communicate clear sales goals and KPIs, ensuring alignment with Hint’s broader business objectives.
- Ensure trade investments are used efficiently by analyzing promotional performance and ROI, making adjustments as needed.
- Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Sales to drive high-impact sales initiatives.
- Oversee relationships with brokers, distributors, and key retail partners to maximize efficiency and ensure best-in-class execution.
- Work closely with field teams and brokers to improve in-store execution, including pricing, shelf placement, and promotional effectiveness.
- Partner with marketing, finance, and operations to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives, bringing innovative solutions to market.
- Identify and pursue new retail and distribution opportunities, ensuring Hint continues to expand in high-potential markets.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA a plus, with 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including 4+ years managing key national and regional beverage distributors and broad-line wholesalers.
- Proven success in leading and managing high-performing sales teams, with the ability to mentor, develop, and inspire a team to exceed goals.
- Experience working with multiple RTMs (Routes to Market), including Direct Store Delivery (DSD), KeHE, UNFI, and Direct-to-Retail models.
- Experience across many channels including Grocery & C-store.
- Experience in both large and small brand environments, with a strong ability to navigate the complexities of scaling a high-growth brand.
- Proficiency in trade management, category management, and shopper marketing, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights for strategic planning.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with common industry data sources (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, retailer POS) to craft compelling sales stories and business cases.
- Retail promotional planning expertise, with a demonstrated ability to drive successful in-store activations and seasonal campaigns.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, with a track record of securing advantageous contracts, promotions, and shelf placements.
- Proven experience in Joint Business Planning (JBP) and developing long-term partnerships with key retail accounts.
- The salary range is $150,000 - $175,000. Actual salary offered may vary based on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
