Job Description

This position is still at the proposal stage and is awaiting award.

We are looking for highly skilled registered nurses (RN) in the operating room is to provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, working alongside military and civilian healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. RNs will work in various specialties, delivering high-quality care in fast-paced military healthcare environments while maintaining sterile conditions and monitoring vital signs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care throughout the surgical process, including pre-operative assessment and post-operative monitoring. 
  • Collaborate with military and civilian healthcare professionals to plan and deliver comprehensive surgical care. 
  • Maintain sterile techniques and ensure a safe environment for patients and surgical staff. 
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, reactions, and progress during procedures. 
  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for use in various specialties. 
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures by anticipating needs and providing necessary support. 
  • Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to institutional policies and protocols. 
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • Must have a valid unrestricted RN license from any US State or territory. 
  • Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). 
  • Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience in specialty in the last 3-5 years. 

Education Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or prior experience in a military or government healthcare facility is strongly preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.  
  • May be exposed to contagious diseases, radiation, and high-stress environments. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate. 
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required. 
  • Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance. 

Additional Information

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. 

Compensation|  Min: $40hr        Max: $65hr 

Benefits – Full-time positions are eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
