The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for analyzing, designing, acquiring, defining, and implementing PC, network, cloud, security, storage, and communications systems and solutions. This role involves leading and planning the day-to-day management of infrastructure and cloud operations, client software, policies, processes, and support. The IT Manager will manage software licenses, software deployments, and Office 365 tenants. In addition, they will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT helpdesk, ensuring that end-users receive the highest level of technical support.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:- Manage and lead the IT helpdesk.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users.
- Performs network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support.
- Supports server, network, voice, and desktop hardware, software, and applications.
- Responds to Help Desk ticketing requests.
- Documents common problems and fixes and provides ticket status updates to IT management.
- Sets up and configures employee workstations.
- Coordinate incident and issue resolution across IT for critical functions.
- Supports technology needs analysis by conferring with departmental personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
- Assists with writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify business processes and computer systems.
- Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if the requested program or program change is possible within the existing system.
- Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
- Assists with technology planning through ongoing research.
- Assists with cybersecurity systems and security compliance.
- Manages security and compliance on on-site and hosted systems and networks
- Upgrades, installs, and troubleshoots networks, AV, server, voice, storage, networking hardware devices, and software.
- Documents system standards for computer and network devices.
- Management of users, permission, and office 365 tenant.
- Lead the execution of infrastructure and cloud operations.
- Monitors network access, addresses data security, password generation and file access to forecast potential access risks.
- Develop and execute plans to adapt operations for improvements.
- Participates in On-Call emergency response.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications:- Six + years of Information Technology experience in a technical role, within the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industries.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure, network, and cloud operations.
- Strong knowledge of PC, security, networking, storage, and communications systems.
- Ability to assess and implement best practices and production trends.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical knowledge of PC, Server, Network and Security systems.
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
- Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
- Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Skilled at clearly conveying in-depth knowledge to all levels within, and outside of, the organization.
- Skilled at creating a cooperative team environment.
- Able to objectively evaluate situations and make recommendations for changes considering overall project demands.
Physical Requirements:- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk, or hear in a standard office environment. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
$120,000 - $135,000 a year
In addition to a competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $135,000, we offer stock options, restricted stock units, a stock purchase plan (ESPP) and a target bonus. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and internal equity.
