Your day as a Sales Support Engineer?

Today’s the day: you’re preparing the finishing touches on a proposal for a major international potato producer. The sales manager received the final feedback from the customer last week, and now it’s up to you to finalize the technical part.

You double-check the specifications and coordinate with the mechanical, electrical, and software engineering departments to come up with a smart solution for the robot setup in a limited space. You align with product management to see whether the upgrade for the crate loader can already be implemented. This way, you make sure the proposal is not only feasible, but also distinctive and innovative. Just before lunch, the layout is fully completed.

In the afternoon, you join a meeting with project management. From a current project, you receive useful feedback about hours already spent and recent purchasing prices. You act quickly, contribute your thoughts, and immediately make adjustments to an up-to-date cost estimate. It’s important to share this with your sales engineering colleagues. You wrap up the day with a sense of accomplishment. What’s the status of the new CPQ tooling, by the way? Tomorrow is a new day!

How you get things moving

• HBO bachelor degree (technical background)
• 5 years of experience in a similar rol
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Invento
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Commercial acumen, team player, and solution-oriented!
