Accounts Receivable/ Collections Specialist

About the Role:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable and a proven track record of managing outstanding accounts, building strong client relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is vital in ensuring the company's cash flow remains optimized while fostering positive client interactions.


Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable Management:
  • Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to customers.
  • Track and reconcile accounts receivable balances, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute account statements to clients regularly.
  • Collections:
  • Proactively contact customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, or written correspondence to secure timely payments.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and work to resolve any disputes preventing payment.
  • Monitor payment commitments and follow up with customers to ensure adherence to agreed terms.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of collection activities and payment histories in the system.
  • Generate regular aging reports and provide updates to management on collection efforts and outstanding balances.
  • Assist in preparing month-end closing reports and audits related to accounts receivable.
  • Customer Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while balancing assertiveness with professionalism.
  • Address client inquiries related to billing and payments promptly and accurately.
  • Compliance & Process Improvement:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all accounts receivable activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing streamlined workflows.
